Twin towns
The objective of establishing twin town agreements is:

To support learning, democracy and cooperation

To further intercultural understanding and build friendships across cultures

To launch valuable experiences to citizens

To facilitate development through openness and knowledge sharing
The Municipality of Jammerbugt focuses on three levels regarding twin town agreements:

The political and official level

The international level: Exchange visits, social intercourse, experiences, communication, joint learning, sports, events, cooperation between associations, and cooperation on tourism.

Professional development: Exchange of experience and knowledge sharing between employees, and strategic cooperation
The Municipality of Jammerbugt has five twin towns:

Lindesberg in Sweden. Population: 25,000. Situated in Bergslagen in Örebro Len, approximately 230 kilometres west of Stockholm.

Oppdal in Norway. Population: 6,400. Situated between Dovrefjellet and Trollheimen, approximately 420 kilometres north of Oslo and approximately 120 kilometres south of Trondheim.

Østre Toten in Norway. Population: 14,387. Situated in Opplands Fylkeskommune, approximately 126 kilometres north of Oslo.

Strzelce Krajenskie in Poland. Population: 17, 500. Situated in the Province of Lubuskie, approximately 26 kilometres south west of Gorzow Wlkp. and approximately 177 kilometres east of Berlin.

Stadt Tornesch in Germany. Population: 13,010. Situated in Kreis Pinneberg in Schleswig-Holstein, approximately 16 kilometres north west of Stadt Hamburg.
